Take off your armor

When your fighting is done

take off your armor

because what protects you in battle

no longer serves

when you are the elder asked to counsel others

tend your garden

love your children

Your armor is a heavy burden that keeps your light from shining

and your love from healing

Take off your armor.

Bless that heavy, dense steel for how it has protected you

what awaits is a lightness you never dreamed of

Your heart is now free,

light enters and warms your skin, heals your wounded places

your pure joy and delight dances in the fields

vibrating in the love that is all around you

And always has been.
