Poems
Take off your armor
When your fighting is done
take off your armor
because what protects you in battle
no longer serves
when you are the elder asked to counsel others
tend your garden
love your children

The Shaman
When the shaman comes you will know
for she will bare her scars
proudly and without fear.

Love The Broken Places
Our path is to love the broken places
All these years thinking they were weaknesses,
problems to solve,
burdens to carry,
secrets to hide
Only to discover that these are the places
where light enters
where love heals,
where we discover what it is to be human.
Love your broken places.
The Gifts of Autumn
How bittersweet
is the whisper of autumn
the days growing shorter
as the cool air
stings the skin,
the refuge of more layers.
The Valley
I wander reluctantly from the high peaks
where eagles survey their kingdom
Down to the meadows where my shadows dance
amidst the grass
And down yet further
into the Valley
Where I sit.
